Polk County Cemetery Preservation Committee (PCCPC) was founded November 2002 when a group of concerned citizens met to discuss what could be done about the abandoned and neglected cemeteries in Polk County, Georgia.
As the membership grew and more people volunteered to help, we were able to clean-up many cemeteries through the years. Unfortunately many of these cemeteries have become overgrown again due to lack of volunteers and funds. The weather has also delayed us in the last few years. Hot summers and very cold winters, plus heavy rains through the years have prevented us from working in the cemeteries.
We need your help in continuing our efforts to save and preserve these often times forgotten and neglected places. Please check out the Membership Application page to see how you can help.
Polk Cemetery Preservation Committee is NOT part of any government agency – state, county or city. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dependent upon volunteers and donations.
